Challenger Year!

What a year I have had.. Sitting, as usual on the boat, daydreaming, I started thinking about all that have happen in 2011,and what a year it has been! I have had an amazing year. I have had loads of fun, some good some sad times, I have lost touch with some good friends but I have also met so many new friends, I have been disappointed but also really surprised and impressed, I have sold my first home, but found my dream home and figured out where I want to be, I have travelled the world, I have missed those who means the most to me, I have discovered new things about myself.. and about others.. And lots have changed!

Last New Year was celebrated in Honolulu, this New Years I spent with wonderful friends in my own home. Last easter I spent surfing the waves in Maui, this easter I am planning to spend in the snow, last year I spent far away from home, 230days on travel and work, the rest on Maui, this year I am planning to spend mostly at home, in Kristiansand:)

I am saying farvel to a job and a lifestyle i have loved and to many people that have made the last 3 years in PGS special. But I am looking forward to start my new life in my dream house in my HOME town in a new and exciting job with my friends and family just around the corner:)

Some of the people that have made my last year in Seismic special :) Crewmeal in Rio.. jeeez I am going to miss those!!:p (as always, awesome pictures from Suzanne)

Pao de Acucar

Thursday night my collegue and good friend Matt joined us in Rio and we decided that after a few days on the beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana it was time for some sightseeing again. Pao de Acucar or Sugra Loaf is almost as famous as Christ The Redeemer statue on Corcovado and much more enjoyable if you ask me. From city center you take the cablecars up the first mountain and from here you can wander around in lush green enviroment with a stunning view of Rio and the ocean and islands surrounding Rio. We stopped for some fresh fruits and lunch and enjoyed the peece and quiet away from the never ending Rio traffic. Further we took the second cablecar up to Sugar Loaf and got some even more stunning views of Rio. Sun was shining, temperatur of about 34deg and hanging out with good friends. Cannot complain! Life is not so bad!

Two seismic chics in Rio de Janeiro

In case you did not know yet, Rio de Janerio is an absolute beautiful amazing city! The scenery, the forests and the beaches in this city cannot compare to much. In other words, we are loving Rio:) Two days in to our 5 days mini holiday we have already had time to explore both Ipanema and Copacabana beach, we have had free (and lovely) dinner and drinks with the Ramform Sovereign's crew as we accidentally bumped in to my old chief at the airport, we've got a tan, seen the statue of christ, been driven around by crazy taxi drivers, had some great famous Brasilian meat dinner, we've tried out a few of the famous Caiprinhas and we've stocked up in cheap Havaianas :)
View from the Corcovado mountain
A few others also wanted to see the Cristo Redentor

What's up??

Rio de Janeiro, that's what's up! :D Leaving tomorrow and meeting awesome Suzanne in Rio for a few days before joining the Challenger once again. I probably should be a little more excited.. I am excited, really excited about the holiday, not so excited about going back to work, or rather, leaving my new home. I LOVE my new place. I LOVE being back in Kristiansand and I LOVE spending time with my friends and I LOVE just walking 5 minutes and taking sunset pictures like this:

So what else have I done lately.. Fixing house, fixing house, meeting friends, seeing family, snowboarding, aired my kite at Hovden, jogging and just relaxing in my lovely home. So this is where I live!
